AC Syracuse is a community based professional soccer team in Syracuse, New York.  The team will lace up the boots in their inaugural

season to compete in the National Independent Soccer Association in the fall of 2022.  Our mission is to provide the ultimate fan

experience at an affordable cost, simultaneously promoting and enhancing the game of soccer for the fans.  AC Syracuse will be the team

that soccer fans look to for excitement, engagement and community—and the team that every player wants to play for.  We will reflect

the diversity and inclusiveness of our home city, and will strive to set the standard of excellence for professional soccer organizations.

The Club’s pyramid includes a youth program that features an academy team, amateur reserve team and a men’s and women’s professional team in the National Independent Soccer Association. These teams create a system that focuses on player education and development. The organization will provide a pathway for players to develop and transcend through the pyramid and on to the professional teams.  AC Syracuse aims to achieve its goals by working closely with local youth and amateur soccer organizations, talented coaches, knowledgeable trainers, dedicated investors and sponsors, to bring the premiere professional soccer club to the Central New York Community.

“AC Syracuse will bring the Friday Night Lights atmosphere to the Central New York Area and restore our city back to its soccer heyday roots.  Syracuse has a prominent history as a soccer community.  Beginning in the early 1970’s, the semi-professional soccer leagues in Syracuse were flourishing with a world cup atmosphere amongst their ethnic teams.  Thousands of people would show their support as they would cheer their respective country in a carnival atmosphere that would capture the imagination of our youth.  Kids fell in love with the beautiful game as they emulated their favorite team and player.  Hence, the growth of soccer in Central New York as these kids grew up and became coaches, administrators and professional soccer players.    I am very excited to bring a professional soccer team back to Central New York, we haven’t had an outdoor professional team since 2004.  This is the right time to establish something very special and give players the unique pathway to transcend from the grassroots to the professional level.”
